Family Haulers Just Not for Parents Anymore

The New York Daily News calls the new Chrysler Pacifica “a van that’s almost impossible not to like,” as one of their millennial writers discovered hauling his family around on a holiday weekend. “This is a handsome van from all angles,” Brian Leon wrote, “With interesting curves and styling cues, a sort of ‘50s-looking curb appeal with abundant chrome and piano black accents.” Class is the word that comes to mind when describing the Pacifica, but you don’t need to take a New York writer’s word for it. Check the all-new minivan out for yourself with a quick trip to Chapman Chrysler.

Luxurious Cockpit Defines Overall Feel

Step inside the new Chrysler Pacifica and you’ll find an interior that’s more at home in a premier luxury SUV than a minivan. Materials are soft to the touch and the contrast of colored leather adds an air of sophistication and comfort. Controls are placed in logical locations and there are unique features like an in-vehicle vacuum, available Dual HD video touch screens in the second row and built-in games with a DVD player and mobile USB connection. Bluetooth wireless connections let the kids turn the volume up while the parents listen to their favorite tunes.

Pacifica Earns Top Safety Pick +

A whole suite of camera and sensor-driven driver assistance safety features helped the Pacifica earn the Top Safety Pick + designation from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. These devices warn you when you’re drifting out of your line, keep your vehicle a safe distance away from the vehicle in front of you when using cruise control, and help you with both parallel and perpendicular parking. Forward collision warning with active braking first lets you know of an impending head-on collision, then takes action to brake the vehicle if you fail to react.

Ride in Comfort with Athletic Handling

Leon says the new Chrysler Pacifica ride “is on the softer side, gliding over bumps and imperfections with ease, and absolutely no shimmying, shaking, or out-of-place squeaks in the cabin.” He calls the handling “athletic,” whether you’re on a mountain run or just trying to maneuver in city traffic. Powered by the Pentastar V-6 engine, the new Pacifica has the ability to tow up to 3,600 pounds, or more than enough for a small recreational trailer. The Pacifica is a perfect vehicle for families, but its also great for millennials on the go who like to take friends on weekend adventures. Let your adventure begin with a test drive at Chapman Chrysler.

NHTSA Gives High Marks to New Jeep

With more than 70 safety features available to consumers, the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee has earned the highest rating available from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Standard equipment on the new Cherokee includes multistage airbags for the driver and front passenger, advanced curtain airbags to protect passengers on the side, supplemental side air bags for the front seat and an inflatable knee bolster bag for the driver. NHTSA testing simulated several different crash scenarios, including a head on collision with another car, a side impact against a pole and a side impact with another car. Get a better look and explanation of all the Cherokee’s safety features by taking a trip to Chapman Jeep.

Crash-avoidance Technology Minimizes Damage

The best way to avoid injury and property damage, of course, is to not have a wreck in the first place. The 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee has an available sensor and camera-driven technology suite called Full-speed Forward Collision Warning with Crash Mitigation. By combining the strengths of both on-board cameras and sensors, the system determines that a head-on crash is imminent and goes to work. It first pre-fills the brakes while delivering both visual and sound warnings to the driver. If the driver does not react, the system applies the brakes briefly. If the drivers still fails to respond, the Jeep applies the brakes to either slow down the vehicle or bring it to a complete stop.

Grand Cherokee Provides Off-road Sophistication

You might expect a vehicle with the Jeep brand to be superb at handling tough road conditions along with exploring off-road trails, but the Grand Cherokee brings a touch of sophistication to your adventures. There are several different trim packages from which to choose, but the Summit sets the mark as one of the most luxurious vehicles on or off the highway. With a leather-wrapped interior, deluxe Harman Kardon audio system and premium exterior styling including the iconic Jeep kidney grille, the Grand Cherokee is at home whether you’re spending the night on the town or climbing a remote ridge.
