The 2019 Jeep Cherokee boasts a more sophisticated design than in years past, adding a stylish look to go along with its best-in-class off-road ability. A new fascia and hood are complemented by LED fog lamps, headlights and daylight running lamps, while your choice of five new wheel designs adds a little sporty flair to the overall look. “A stunning, more premium design and the addition of our new fuel-efficient 2.0-liter turbo engine make the new 2019 Jeep Cherokee even more desirable in the mid-size SUV segment,” according to Jeep brand chief Mike Manley. “In addition, Cherokee builds on its benchmark 4×4 capability and on-road dynamics with refinement and style, a host of new attributes, powertrains and the latest technology that is perfectly situated for consumers worldwide.” The new Cherokee will arrive on the showroom floor at Chapman Jeep in Scottsdale this spring.

New Engine Offers Power and Efficiency

Jeep owners will love the new 2.0L turbocharged direct injection motor with engine stop/start functionality that turns the motor off every time you come to a complete stop, then fires it up again when you take your foot off the brake. Although the EPA mileage estimates have not yet been released, the motor is expected to move the Jeep Cherokee up to the top of the charts in efficiency for midsize SUVs. With 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, the new motor will offer enhanced drivability and quick acceleration to go along with the increased mileage. Jeep will still offer the 3.6L Pentastar V6 as well as a 2.4L PZEV Tigershark motor.

4×4 Capability Unmatched in its Class

Buyers can choose from three different 4×4 systems for the new Jeep Cherokee, all of which disconnect the rear axle when four-wheel drive isn’t needed to increase fuel mileage. Active Drive I is a fully automatic system which switches in and out of four-wheel drive at any speed. Active Drive II has a two-speed power transfer unit with a low range that gives a little more torque for off-roading. Jeep Cherokees with this configuration also have an extra inch of clearance. Active Drive Lock has all the features of Active Drive II, but includes a locking rear differential for the ultimate in low-speed traction when hitting those trails that other drivers avoid. The new Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk is the ultimate trim level for off-roading, with aggressive departure and approach angles, a one-inch factory lift, skid plates and red tow hooks. See all the models later this spring when the new Cherokee arrives at Chapman Jeep in Scottsdale.

A vehicle most often associated with the great outdoors will be taking center stage at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas this week, exhibiting some technology that makes it safer and more fun to drive. The all-new 2018 Jeep Wrangler will be on display, touting an award-winning infotainment system, a Jeep Adventure Reality app, and a Family Alert feature that lets owners set limits on speed, time and geography for their teen drivers.  “The all-new Jeep Wrangler is developed and engineered with more safety features and advanced technology than ever before and we are proud to showcase our commitment to meet consumers’ increasing desire for unique and innovative vehicle connectivity,” according to Jeep Brand Chief Mike Manley. See the all-new Wrangler soon at Chapman Jeep in Scottsdale.

Jeep Reality App Brings Wrangler Alive

The new Jeep Adventure Reality app allows anyone who owns a late-model iPhone or iPad Pro to build the Jeep of their dreams and put it in familiar situations. You can choose from a wide variety of trim levels, colors and configurations, add different wheels and even go in the cockpit to see all the custom interior selections up close. Remove doors, put the windshield down, turn the lights on and honk the horn. You can then incorporate your Jeep into your favorite four-wheeling spot, your own driveway or even your living room to see if your color selections match your drapes. Once you’re happy with your build, share your dream Jeep on social media with your friends, or better yet, take it to Chapman Jeep to order the vehicle you’ve been waiting for your entire life.

Keep Tabs on Your Teens

If your teen is one of the lucky few who get the opportunity to drive a brand-new Jeep, it shouldn’t come without a little parental oversight. Luckily, the Family Alert function in the new Jeep Wrangler provides parents with peace of mind when the kids are out on their own. Set a boundary alert and you’ll receive a phone prompt anytime your Jeep is driven outside those boundaries. The same goes for a curfew alert and a speed alert. There is even a valet alert for those times you go out on the town and don’t want the kid in the red vest to take your Jeep out four-wheeling. The Family Alert function is available on all 2018 model Jeeps with a UConnect 4C NAV system and a subscription to Sirius XM. For all the latest technology available in the Jeep Wrangler, head to CES in Las Vegas. If you can’t make it, feel free to stop by Chapman Jeep in Scottsdale for a complete demonstration and a test drive.
